About the Act:
Gin Swing are a unique party band bringing pop classics and bangers with Jazz and Latin twists! Their sets are available in various settings ranging from a 3 piece with Keys, Vocals and Drums to a roaring 5 piece set up with Double Bass and Saxophone. They have performed songs from Dua Lipa to Junior Senior, with Rosalia making an appearing and flourishes of the great Aretha Franklin. Think Post Modern Jukebox with an energetic spin!
The band are female fronted with the wonderful Helen who sings in both English and Spanish- hitting the ground running with energy and sass- bound to fill up the dance floor and excite all ears.
All from Manchester, Gin Swing met performing on the Jazz scene and now regularly also perform at bars such as Revolucion De Cuba, Peaky Blinders and Matt and Phreds Jazz Club. Musically they take influence from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Anderson .Paak, Etta James as well as Basie and Countdown Swing Bands. With male and female vocals, their shows have been known to get everyone Swing Dancing- even those who say they can’t! Perfect for any occasion, be it a Wedding, Birthday or just a night out- Gin Swing will transport you back in time whilst keeping your feet firmly in the present day!
